The Art Nouveau and Art Deco BANAD Festival Brussels will take place between March 16th and March 31st. It will allow visitors enter to buildings usually closed to the public and also attend conferences and take part in family activities and fairs all inspired by these old times.

As many as forty houses will be made accessible to introduce the general public from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco times. Thirty-six will repeat openings, like they had in 2018. The number of buildings which will open their doors for the first time is six. This will be the case, for example of Maison Vizzavona in Ixelles, Maison Boelens in Forest and Maison Saint-Cyr in the Squares district.

The route planned by the organizers will take you to meet some of the most famous buildings in Horta, such as the Hotel Solvay or the Hotel Tassel. It will also reveal other exceptional places like the Autrique House, the Taelemans House or the Saint-Jean Baptiste Church.

The first weekend of the Festival, a conference and a debate will allow those who wish to learn about Art Nouveau and Art Deco. The guided tours will take you to discover Forest, Ixelles, Saint-Gilles and Uccle. March 23 and 24 will focus on family activities with tours and workshops for the youngest. The houses of Koekelberg, Molenbeek and Berchem-Sainte-Agathe will be waiting for you throughout this second weekend. Finally, on March 30th and 31st, you will be invited to discover the architecture of the houses of Schaerbeek, Woluwé and the district of Squares.

We believe that it is a great initiative but that is too much limited on time. The number of people allowed to access the buildings is very limited and the dates are not flexible at all. That’s why we have created special Art Nouveau private tours in Brussels:
