About Lviv
Lviv in northwestern Ukraine is one of the most beautiful Art Nouveau cities in Europe and a part of the Galician Art Nouveau movement in Central Europe.
Lviv with its collection of neo-Renaissance, Eclectic or Secessionist villas and palaces legitimizes itself as a place of Western influence; as, in addition, it has considered itself ‘the cradle of Ukrainian nationalism’, Lviv implies the connections between the latter and the former in the attempt of rejecting the Russian contribution to the Ukrainian nation-building.
With more than 760 years of history this Ukrainian town is truly a city for the ages, and its layers of neoclassical, rococo, baroque, Renaissance, Gothic and Art Nouveau architecture bear witness to its long and storied history. Our tour focuses 100% in its Art Nouveau heritage and includes the discovery of nice architecture and interior design.
